The City of Bremerton is seeking to fill the position of Electronics Technician (Traffic Signals) in the City’s Department of Public Works & Utilities. Once established, this register is valid for six (6) months, and future open positions will be filled using this register.

GENERAL FUNCTION

Reporting to the Public Works Operations Manager and under general direction, administers, maintains, installs, repairs, and troubleshoots electronic systems, including traffic control, radio communications, process control and instrumentation systems, electrical circuits, and associated computer components.

The hiring range for this position is: $40.25 - $49.39 per hour. This salary includes longevity (1% earned after five years and increases to a maximum of 4% after 20 years). Additionally, a 3.8% cost of living increase has been approved for 2027.

Benefits and Additional Compensation:

Employer contributions to the State Retirement System pension plan; 13 days of paid vacation per year (increases to a maximum of 26 days per year with years of service); 11 paid holidays per year; one paid floating holiday of your choice per year (after six months of employment); 12 days of paid sick leave; wellness program; employee assistance program; and medical, dental and vision coverage.
