The City of Bremerton is seeking to fill the position of Accounts Payable Specialist in the City’s Finance Department. Once established, this register is valid for six (6) months, and future open positions will be filled using this register.

GENERAL FUNCTION

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Financial Services, performs and coordinates specialized Citywide finance and accounting functions with limited supervision. Areas of assignment may include accounts payable and fixed assets, utilities and accounts receivable, payroll, and related financial matters. Compiles, monitors, verifies, and reconciles accounts payable financial data and applies established fiscal management policies, procedures, and internal controls.

The hiring range for this position is: $32.40 - $39.67 per hour. This salary includes longevity (1% earned after five years and increases to a maximum of 4% after 20 years). Additionally, a 3.8% cost of living increase has been approved for 2027.
