The City of Bremerton is seeking to fill one vacant position and establish an eligible register for the position of Street Service Specialist Trainee in the City’s Public Works & Utilities Department. Once established, this register is valid for one (1) year and future open positions will be filled using this register.

GENERAL FUNCTION

Under close supervision, performs manual work and operates hand tools and small equipment to support staff in installing concrete sidewalks, asphalt paving, vegetation maintenance, tree removal, and pothole repair.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES

Positions in the Street Service Specialist Trainee classification are distinguished by the performance of manual work under direct supervision and with on-going training in tool use as well as equipment and vehicle operation.

The hiring range for this position is: $28.38 - $34.62 per hour (DOQ). This salary includes longevity (1% earned after five years and increases to a maximum of 4% after 20 years).
