The Program Coordinator (Remote) is highly organized and proactive. They are responsible for supporting various program activities, including consultation services, workforce development initiatives, and community engagement efforts. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and rural health partners to ensure the successful implementation of program goals. The Program Coordinator possesses excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills and the capacity to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Additionally, the Program Coordinator has a passion for rural health and a commitment to improving healthcare access and quality in rural and underserved communities.

The Program Coordinator is fully remote with occasional(25-50%) travel.

Essential Job Functions

Coordinate with team to make arrangements that fulfill all requirements as efficiently and economically as possible and seeking input when necessary.
Support program in all assigned federal, state and local government and community partners, health care leaders, community champions and/or community partners and rural health organizations activities to include onsite and virtual activities and attending report presentation and action planning sessions when needed.
Schedule, host, and take notes during all assigned federal, state and local government and community partners, health care leaders, community champions and/or community partners and rural health organizations calls and meetings as requested.
Support Program Specialist with polling during calls, webinars, meetings and other events with assigned federal, state and local government and community partners, health care leaders, community champions and/or community partners and rural health organizations, if needed.
Draft agendas and email notices for events.
Provide technical assistance in leadership and workforce development, human resource service coordination, financial, operational and/or quality of care improvement initiatives, telehealth initiatives and community care coordination to support assigned federal, state and local government and community partners, health care leaders, community champions and/or community partners and rural health organizations in meeting program goals and identified priorities.
Act as a contact point for communications with assigned federal, state and local government and community partners, health care leaders, community champions and/or community partners and rural health organizations.
Post updates, events, and materials to The Center’s website and Extranet SharePoint site.
Develop, track, and maintain communications in Salesforce.
Update calendars with meetings, events, trainings, and any travel.
Enter data for evaluation and support evaluation activities as needed.
Support Program Specialists with tracking assigned federal, state and local government and community partners, health care leaders, community champions and/or community partners and rural health organizations submissions and provide appropriate follow-up as requested.
Assist in creation of templates and documents per Program Specialists request.
Develop and maintain Survey Monkey templates.
Assist in the development of monthly reporting and program summaries for activities.
Post relevant program materials to Center website.
Assist team with coordinating and providing technical assistance services to rural health organizations.
Prepare resource materials with organizational branding and Section 508 accessibility.
With guidance, perform post-project Recommendation Adoption Progress (RAP) calls to check on rural health organizations ongoing adoption of action plans and develop list of potential resource needs to share back with Program Specialists for project follow up.
Develop timelines to meet program goals.
Document and disseminate team meeting minutes.
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.
Display an openness towards innovative solutions and approaches.
Actively participate and engage in team discussions.
Take steps to develop knowledge, skills, and expertise in broader area.
Actively seek out innovative approaches to improve work processes that benefit the program or organization.
Identify and take steps to prevent potential situations that could impact program effectiveness.
Recognize the potential impact one’s own performance can have on the success of the organization and program.
Organize information in a logical manner according to the audiences’ needs.
Practice meaningful two-way communication.
Delegate appropriately and allow development experience to others.
Respond appropriately to both positive and negative feedback.
Coordinate other program activities as assigned.
Participate in Center Teams and Workgroups.
Travel up to 25% including direct and multi-city flights, overnight stays, and driving through rural communities.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

Bachelor’s degree in health administration, health education, public administration, business or related field
Master’s preferred
Minimum four years of experience in health care delivery, health planning, hospital management, marketing community development, network development or related areas
Experience with development, implementing and managing grants, contracts or other like programs
Knowledge of rural health issues and community health processes and resources

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
